Our bodies are constantly under attack from pathogens. Pathogens include viruses, bacteria, fungi (mildew and molds), and other microorganisms that can cause disease. A healthy immune system is usually quite adept at protecting us, however we can still become ill after being exposed to a pathogen. Exposure to pathogens is especially of concern for people with weak immune systems such as the very young, old, and those suffering from chronic illness.
We have developed a UVC lamp that can be used in medical offices and homes to kill pathogens. Hospitals have been using the same UVC light wavelength, 254 nm, technology for years to kill germs, viruses, bacteria, and mold. Hospitals spend up to $100,000 for robot style, UVC lights used to sterilize patient and operating rooms. The hospital UVC lights weighs over 25 pounds and stands up to six feet tall. Our new UVC light is a compact 6 pounds and 26” to 46” tall .
Our UVC germicidal light kills or inactivates pathogens by destroying nucleic acids and disrupting DNA, denying microorganisms the ability to reproduce or function. This means UVC energy from our light is an effective, environment-friendly and chemical-free approach to killing dangerous microorganisms.
